The iconic fashion designer Helmut Lang left the industry 12 years ago to pursue other pathways and yet his influence never diminished. Fashion editor, Isabella Burley, is currently in charge of leading the brand with the new direction. Their NYFW show itself, that took place this week, was huge. Many famous faces lined the wooden benches beside the runway and outside, the crowds were large.
Many of the extravagant designs were outgoing and daring. Consisting of a deconstructed bra-top. Both over shirt, and under them the lingerie item played a key role in the revival of such a brand. Of course, strutting around with your bra outside your outfit is maybe a step to far for casual city street wear but I can guarantee celebrities will soon be sporting the look on nights out.
