NYC-based band High Waisted have just released two new singles via Little Dickman Records. “Firebomb” and “Free Throw” will be part of the new studio album from the band that will be out in the spring. The two songs are also part of the limited edition split 7-inch releasewith Minnesota group The Coax.
High Waisted debut EP titled Ludlow was released in 2016, since then, the band has grown a lot and thanks to the numerous live performances, they have been able to develop a more mature and elaborate sound.
The text proposed by High Waisted for the new tracks are deeper and more complex than those of the first EP, the main theme is feminism. They defined the track “Firebomb” as “feminist rock and roll war cry”. The band also announce a massive upcoming North America tour, so make sure to get tickets if you are in the States this winter.
