Given that blockchain technology recently reached a new level of global understanding and stirred up a great deal of interest in the cryptocurrency world, it is hardly surprising that it has now attracted attention from the Hollywood industry as well, with an upcoming indie movie called Crypto currently being filmed.
According to Jordan Yale Levine, one of the producers of the John Stalberg-helmed movie, “cryptocurrency has captured the attention and imagination of consumers and entrepreneurs all over the world but has never been explored in film in such a nuanced and exciting way“.
Written by Carlyle Eubank and David Frigerio, Crypto is described as ” a thriller in the vein of The Firm and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” focusing on a young anti-money laundering agent tasked with investigating a tangled web of corruption and fraud.
Starring Kurt Russell, Alexis Bledel, Beau Knapp, Jeremie Harris and Luke Hemsworth among others, Crypto has yet to receive a release date.
