Indietronica masters, Hot Chip, have dropped yet another electronic song to dance your socks off too. But this time it’s their own unique rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In the Dark” morphed with the synthy conclusion of a tampered LCD Soundsystem “All My Friends”. This may not come as a surprise for their travelling fanbase who have witnessed this track performed live during their triumphant headline sets at Glastonbury, Green Man and other festivals over the summer. This cover will open their new EP Dancing In The Dark, as well as three remixes of other songs from their Why Make Sense? album.
Kieran Evans directs this fantastic retro stylised music video, mashing up vast amounts of public access television footage from eighties television shows as well as live footage of the band on the road. The hilariously outdated style presented in this video combined with this fun number offers the viewer a light-hearted and worthy watch.
