His name is Jeremy Meeks and he rose to fame when his mugshot went viral on the Facebook page of a Californian police department in 2014. Two years later, he made his debut at the New York Fashion Week on Sunday.
He was signed by model agency, White Cross Management, while still in prison, and now appeares on Philippe Plein‘s fashion show, which are famous for being over-the-top.
Meeks was arrested for firearms possession and criminal street gang activity and started his modelling activity after being released late last year. He also seemed to have gained the like of Carine Roitfeld, the former editor-in-chief Vogue Paris, by sharing a photo of the show on Instagram.
