Ice-T is taking a break from playing detective in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to star in independent horror film Clinton Road. The film will be directed by fair novice Steve Stanulis, with a script by even bigger novice Derek Ross Mackay. Noel Ashman and Richard Grieco produce under Stanulis Productions Company.
Clinton Road is based on the real life 10 mile stretch of narrow road. Deep within New Jersey woods, the area is host to many urban legends. The film details a “gang of bold teenagers who discover themselves stranded, scrambling against a sadistic satanic cult“.
Ice-T will play a club owner “who has had his own experience in the past with Clinton Road and does his best to persuade the group from going there”. He joins Vincent Pastore and Ace Young, as well as Vincent Young, Erin O’Brien, and Bo Dietl. I don’t know them either.
There’s not much to get excited about, but it’ll be interesting to see what a group of ‘unknowns’ can do. Filming will begin in August in New York City. We’ll have to wait to see how (if) this turns out.
