Imagine Dragons celebrated one decade of band together this week, with frontman Dan Reynolds declaring his happiness to the public on Twitter, “Over a decade together and still my best friends, I’m incredibly proud and lucky to be in a band with you, and yes this week it all begins again”.
As part of the decade anniversary celebration, the band also teased two new singles titled “Follow You” and “Cutthroat”, which was released on Marc 21. The band hadn’t released a new song since 2019 “Birds” and their last album was Origins back in 2018.
Imagine Dragons marked the childhood/teenage years of many people across the world, my personal favourite fro m them was their Night Vision album and the “Demons” track from 2012. That time was when I started to realise the changes from little girl to teenager, so this album accompanied me through this important moment in my life.
Along with the celebrations, Dan Reynolds also donated his Las Vegas childhood house evaluated at $1 Million, to an LGBT+ organisation for the campaign ‘$8Million 8Houses;, which helps build resource centres for LGBT+ youth across Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and Utah in America.
It’s an amazing contribution, for which he says, “Being a part of this organization means so much to both of us and we know the house Dan grew up in will be a loving and supportive home to every young LGBTQ+ person who crosses the threshold“.
