Inaugural Swim Week Las Vegas Is Very Demure, Very Cutesy, Very Vegas

Located in a major city in a desert oasis, the inaugural Swim Week Las Vegas Powered By Art Hearts Fashion In Partnership With Resorts World has been “very demure, very cutesy, very mindful,” as Jools Lebron would put it.

Swim Week Las Vegas has set a new standard in the fashion world positioning itself as a fashion and art festival that’s here to stay; what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. The inaugural Swim Week Las Vegas (SWLV) took place from August 15-19, 2024 and it brought some serious heat to the desert.

The shows featured everything from luxury swimwear to edgy, artistic designs, all set against a buzzing backdrop of poolside parties and networking opportunities. Swim Week Las Vegas quickly established itself as a must-attend event for both fashion lovers and industry insiders, setting a fresh tone for future Las Vegas fashion weeks.

Everything has been centrally located in Resorts World, making it distinct from my experience at Miami Swim Week just a couple months ago. From casinos to cigar lounges to pools to food courts, pool parties, fine dining, superior customer service, spectacular drinks, this swim week experience has been all encompassing.

Through various properties at RWLV: Zouk Nightclub, Ayu Dayclub, Eight Lounge, Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge, Fuhu, Carversteak and others who hosted guests for exclusive dines and experiences. Overall, the most phenomenal dining experience of all was Carversteak. The ambiance was very regal, the service was superb and the food palette.

Art Hearts Fashion is the go-to platform for showcasing cutting-edge designers and artists during fashion week. From New York to Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, and beyond, their events bring together top designers and the hottest emerging talent. Since its start in 2010, AHF has been a major player in the worlds of fashion, art, and entertainment, leading the way with fresh, innovative styles.

We are incredibly grateful to Resorts World for this partnership,” says Erik Rosete, CEO and Founder of Art Hearts Fashion, “which marks a significant milestone for Art Hearts Fashion and the fashion world. Hosting Swim Week Las Vegas at such an iconic destination on the Vegas Strip elevates the experience for designers, attendees, and the city of Las Vegas. We are excited to showcase the creativity and talent that define our brand and the fashion industry.”

I’m convinced that Arts Hearts Fashion is like a delulu world for everyone who’s obsessed with their job and dreams and escaping reality. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to thrive in a fashion and beauty extravaganza? It’s all about embracing the glam and living your best life in the most fabulous way possible.

Between runway moments and glam vibes, Swim Week Las Vegas is where your fashion obsession meets poolside dreams. Think chic looks, big energy, and all the fashion-fueled fun to make your inner style icon feel right at home.

The event’s success was a team effort, from the models and makeup artists to the hair stylists and designers, PR, editors and hotel staff. A special shoutout goes to Resorts World and Design The District, led by Timur Tugberk and Tara Gaines, whose top-notch PR ensured everything ran smoothly and stylishly.

On Friday, Arts Hearts kicked off the Runway with the following designers – David Tupaz, Sharel Guy Swimwear, Merlin Castell, Scotch & Soda, Mister Triple X, Giannina Azar, Original Penguin, and For The Stars at Zouk Nightclub

On Saturday, the following designers took the runway by storm – Joseph Auren, Diana Couture, Asta Razma, Michael NGO, Pink Melon Swimwear, Naughty Boy Golf, Berry Beachy Swimwear, Love For Upcycling, and a live presentation by The Black Tape Project at Zouk Nightclub

On Monday, Arts Hearts curated multiple runway experiences by Autism Pride Center (APC) & MMGNET Style Oasis: A Fashion Runway Experience presented by Art Hearts Fashion, MMGNET, Resorts World.

Swim Week Las Vegas didn’t just make waves in fashion—it also made a real difference in the community. They teamed up with the Autism Pride Center for their first-ever fashion show, spotlighting inclusion and representation in a big way.

APC is all about creating opportunities and empowering people with intellectual or physical disabilities in Southern Nevada. They’re dedicated to helping their participants build skills for meaningful lives and successful careers.

This year, they’re teaming up with Swim Week Las Vegas and Art Hearts Fashion for their first-ever fashion show, advancing their mission of empowerment. APC is committed to giving everyone a chance to shine and be recognized as an essential part of the community.

Plus, Art Hearts Fashion joined forces with MMGNET to create *Style Oasis*, a cool satellite event connecting the fashion industry during MAGIC, PROJECT, and other major market week events in Vegas. It’s all about bringing people together, celebrating style, and giving back.

Editorial Observations from the Inaugural Swim Week Las Vegas

Men’s Fashion: The vibe for men’s fashion was effortlessly cool, mixing sweaters, denims, and cowboy boots—perfect for the quick transitions between air-conditioned venues and valet-parked cars. It’s a look that speaks to a laid-back, stylish practicality.

Body Trends: The show’s models showcased a refreshingly natural look, a welcome shift from the heavily curated aesthetic of Miami Swim Week. This year, the focus was on real bodies, with fewer enhancements like BBLs and boob jobs. While it was great to see more authentic representation, the runway still lacked diversity in body sizes, missing the inclusive celebration of all body types seen in Miami.

The Models: The models at Swim Week were incredibly down-to-earth, fostering a warm, friendly atmosphere. With the event hosted at Resorts World, it felt like everyone—from journalists to models to designers—mingled like friends and close colleagues in fabulous, fashion-forward parties.

Beauty Tips: When asking the women models for some beauty tips, Lindsey Johnson suggested having a go to lip combo that sets your signature look, while Tina Glaze shared that spraying hairspray on heels is a good trick to prevent slipping on the runway.

Musical Performances: On Monday, the inaugural Swim Week Las Vegas event was serenaded by 4th Impact. 4th Impact is a powerhouse Filipino girl group made up of sisters Almira, Irene, Mylene, and Celina Cercado. They first grabbed international attention when they rocked the stage on season 12 of The X Factor UK, wowing both the judges and audiences with their harmonies and fierce performances.

We were then taken into a melodic trance by Hip Hop artist Makeout Shinobi. Before closing out the night with Mister Triple X’s runway, we brought the house down with the 5-time Grammy nominated R&B singer Macy Gray who sang “Sexual Revolution”, “Witness”, “Creep” and “I Try”.
