Indie Pop Darling Chloe Moriondo Kicks Off 2025 With ‘Shoreline’

Hailed by Teen Vogue as “one of indie pop’s brightest stars,” Chloe Moriondo is stepping into an exciting new chapter with the release of her new single, “Shoreline.” Alongside this heartfelt track, the Michigan native has announced a 20-date US and Canada tour lined up for April and May 2025, giving fans plenty to look forward to this year.

“Shoreline” follows Moriondo’s 2024 track “September”, which featured in the latest instalment of the popular video game franchise Life Is Strange; showcasing her versatility and flair for creating emotionally resonant music.

Moriondo’s journey as an artist has been nothing short of incredible. She started with the ukulele-driven charm of her debut album, Rabbit Hearted, then embraced the rebellious pop-punk energy of Blood Bunny. But it was her 2022 release, SUCKERPUNCH, that marked her boldest move yet—a dazzling pop record packed with glossy production and bursts of fearless creativity.

“Shoreline” bridges the stylistic worlds of her past work, blending the delicate vulnerability of Rabbit Hearted. with the anthemic energy of Blood Bunny and the polished pop sophistication of SUCKERPUNCH.

Co-written and produced by Chloe Kraemer (The Japanese House), the track unfolds like a diary entry set to music, with Moriondo’s sweet yet forlorn voice gliding over gently pulsing synths. The lyrics explore the emotional wreckage of a breakup with poignant lines like, “You’re still so mean and sweet at the same time / left me alone on the shoreline / washed up and waiting at high tide.”

In an accompanying statement, Moriondo shared the song’s personal significance: “‘Shoreline’ is very near and dear to my heart. It encapsulates a lot of the feelings that came from my first big breakup, and I poured a lot of myself into it. I hope it’s gently loved ♡.”

The track is available now via Fueled By Ramen, accompanied by an official visualiser streaming below. Fans can expect an intimate glimpse into her emotional world, as the visualiser captures the wistful atmosphere of the song with dreamlike imagery.
