IT: Chapter 2 has revealed the full cast for its upcoming Pennywise Clown horror sequel, set 27 years after the events of the first film.
Based on the second half of Stephen King‘s classic novel, the sequel features grow-up versions of the Losers Club: Jessica Chastain has been confirmed to play the only female member Beverly Mash, while James McAvoy will star as Bill Denbrough, Bill Hader as Richie Tozer, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Andy Bean as Stanley Uris, Jay Ryan as chubby-kid-turned-handsome Ben Hanscom and newly-casted Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon.
Bill Skarsgård, who is set to return as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, declared to Den of Geek earlier this year: “We’re gearing up for it now, so I’m sort of in the process of getting back into that character of Pennywise.”
“I’m really looking forward to it” he added, “It’s going to be a very different experience this time around, just given the fact that you have all of these incredible, seasoned actors to play against, as opposed to having all the kids. So it’s going to be a different experience for sure. But I’m looking forward to it.”
Well, so are we. Unfortunately, we will have to wait another year for IT: Chapter 2 as it won’t be released in cinemas until September 6, 2019. Grin and bear it, kids.
