After spending much of 2017 in LA writing and recording a bunch of new material, R&B singer/songwriter and creative J-Sol returns with new solo music for 2018. The first take being back into the limelight is the instantly catchy “Sober” which premiered on DJ Ace’s BBC 1Xtra show on release day and comes accompanied with a vibrant and playful official music video.
With visuals directed by Jamie Alderson, “Sober” turns the party vibes up to 100 percent. Shot in LA, which is basically like his second home, the colorful video boasts party scenes, pool scenes and some very alluring female dancers. All the while, J-Sol and his female interest enjoying each other’s company.
“I free-styled it in the studio with my producer and we laid it down pretty much on the fly. When I wrote the song, I rarely drank but since writing it, it’s almost like I’m now literally living it! I think a lot of people can relate to having that extra bit of confidence when they’ve had a drink or two down them!” J-sol explaining what it means to him.
Having supported the likes of Little Mix, Boyz II Men, Wretch 32, Bobby Valentino and Jeremih and set to support Mila J on her European Tour, this puts J-Sol in a league of his own, set to shine in 2018. Peep the new video from J-Sol above.
