Skins actor Jack O’Connell stars in the US trailer for British drama Starred Up. His character Eric is an arrogant 19-year-old who struggles to control his anger. He ends up in the same prison as his father, and he soon finds himself attracting negative attention from prisoners and workers. A voluntary psychotherapist soon tries to recruit him on an anger management program for prisoners. Eric has a choice to make which sees him fight for survival against prisoners, corruption and his father. It is written by Jonathan Asser, a prison therapist and analyses the harsh reality of prisons in America. It will premiere in US cinemas on the 29th of August 2014. Audiences in the UK can next see O’Connell in Angelina Jolie’s war film Unbroken on the 26th of December 2014.
