The Smith family is talented, this is absolutely unquestionable. Starting with the patriarch, Will, he’s first of all the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and protagonist then of a long list of movies, songs, shows and even author of a book just announced. He even recently collaborated with his promising rapper son Jaden. But now is the moment of the female counterparty.
Mum Jada (Pinkett) and Willow have decided to make a song of their own too. Fair, no? But what is even nicer, and that keeps it a total family affair, is the title – according to an exclusive by Billboard – will be “Dear Father“.
Mrs. Smith, by the way, is a professional musician too, the leader of the metal band Wicked Wisdom, who has recently come back to scene and in August will perform at the Afropunk Brooklyn Festival, sharing the stage alongside Willow.
Recently, Jaden and Will made all us laugh and enjoy with the latest remixed version of “Icon“; originally it was Jaden’s track, then he collaborated with Nicky Jam, with his father additionally including his own rap verse, mixing Spanish and English.
Some rumors confirmed that this won’t be the only project between the mother & daughter duo; possibly four hits are in the air. We will have to see what is yet to come from the Smith clan.
