In May X-Men: Apocalypse will hit cinemas across the world. It will bring a foreseeable end to the rebooted group of mutants as the franchise branches out to explore the darker corners of its limits. It will also mean that J-Law will have to find yet another franchise to populate.
Jennifer Lawrence has played the blue-skinned vixen Mystique in X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past and will reprise the role a final time in the upcoming production. In the first 2 films she established herself as a fan favourite but since March last year rumours have circulated that she was done with the role. Who can blame her, considering she has to sit in hair and make-up for hours every day?
However, in an interview with Empire, Lawrence claimed that she was “dying to come back.”
“I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders.”
It may not be firm confirmation that she will blue-up for another, but fans will have to content themselves with the fact that she would be willing to come back at all.
X-Men: Apocalypse arrives in U.K. cinemas May 19 and stars Jennifer Lawrence alongside James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaac and Nicholas Hoult. You can view the latest trailer below.
