“Bee Sting” is the new single from Jon Boden. The former frontman of the progressive folk eleven-piece Bellowhead has just announced his forthcoming solo album titled Afterglow will be out on October 6 via Hudson Records.
Jon Boden was the frontman of Bellowhead for 12 years, the band sold quarter of a million albums and played at Royal Albert Hall during their long career. He also won the award for ‘Best Folk Singer Of The Year’ at the BBC Folk Awards in 2009.
This track follow the release of “All The Stars Are Out Tonight” and “Moths In The Gaslight”. “Bee Sting” is a very interesting song, the melody is characterized by the strong acoustic guitar which creates an intimate atmosphere.
The artist describes his new album in a very poetic way, saying, “it is like two star-crossed lovers trying to find each other amongst a backdrop of decaying buildings, burning oil drums, home-made fireworks, tribal rioting and Bacchanalian revelry”.
Jon Boden also announce a massive tour in the United states so make sure to get the tickets, he is a great live
