R&B/Neo-soul singer-songwriter Just Chase has unveiled his mixtape Killing Roses. The mixtape shows Chase’s ability to bring out exceptional sound, flow and dancehall beats in his soundtracks. His music in general has infused spirit of new-age flavour with a futuristic soul vibe that identify his unique sound.
Killing Roses is a mixtape which features two extra songs “Lately” (Tyrese Remix) and “Scene Ting” (Busta Rhymes Remix).
In honour of his mother, Chase released his mixtape on her birthday. She passed away on November 23. 2011, which is the day after Chase’s birthday. It simplifies how special the release date is to Chase, but also what this mixtape means to him. Chase expresses it like this:
“I release my mixtape on my mother’s birthday, for those who are wondering why am releasing it on Sunday, it means the world to me and I know she’s smiling down shining right now couldn’t have picked a better day R.I.P happy birthday mother love you,”
