Justin Timberlake has just revelead a new hit, perfect for this hot period of the year and as he raps in the intro “Summer starts now“.
It is a surprising single, after the release of Man Of The Woods in February, his first album since the two-part 2013 record The 20/20 Experience.
“SoulMate” has been preceded by “Filthy“, the anticipating single of his last album, released in January, followed by “Supplies” and the melodic “Say Something“. This new single is characterized by skipping percussion, bass and tropical synths, very different if compared to previous songs, and recorded in an exotic atmosphere too, during sessions at the Bahamas (check his official Instagram page, all the hints were there…).
In a Tweet last night (July 3), the “What Goes Around…Comes Around” singer presented the new record, emphasising that it was written in six days; a fast and captivating project, pure samba rhythm, accompanied by a total summer-look cover.
Produced by Nineteen88, who collaborated with Drake for the famous “Hotline Bling” and “One Dance“, the song also gives production credit to Timberlake, as well.
He is currently touring Europe in support of the new album – his fifth – and has a North American leg planned, starting in September. So listen to the new hit below now!
