Kanye West took part in a surprise audition at the San Fransisco leg of the American Idol, performing “Gold Digger” before judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. Although the episode in question won’t air for several months, footage of Kanye’s performance was posted on Instagram by his wife Kim Kardashian and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.
This follows Kanye’s recent performance at the Democratic National Committee, which saw President Obama poking fun at the rapper: “Do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be president?
