Kanye West has built a career off the unexpected, and is continuing to take his fans by surprise, such as his pop-up show in New York City last night.
Yeezy was set to be headlining at the Governors Ball music festival on Randall’s Island until it was cancelled due to bad weather, so instead he decided to show up at Hot 97’s Summer Jam along with his music label, G.O.O.D Music, family. Rather than letting it lie there, West decided to organise a last minute 2am show at Webster Hall and it is no surprise that the venue was swarmed with a massive crowd of fans desperate to make history.
Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming number of people and the chaos that then ensued as people tried to storm the concert, officials at Webster Hall said the show had been shutdown and police were called to relieve the crowd outside, who of course, did not leave quietly.
Kanye in one final attempt to continue the madness, popped out of his car’s sunroof with fellow rapper Travi$ Scott, shaking fans hands and making it onto social media in the light of the mayhem.
Typical Yeezy.
