UK rapper Karl Lokko drops absolute gems in his latest single “9 Months“, with the accompanying music video released exclusively through SBTV. This powerful video was shot and directed by KaiShoots alongside Absalom Gray. Both the video and the song work hand in hand to give the powerful overall message.
The different scenes and transitions paint a striking visual story of his life, from laying flowers at a tombstone, to entering into a fancy car to rapping besides the beautifully and elaborately decorated altar at a church. The once gang member turned influencer, poet and activist portrays the major influences in his life.
A significant part of the video is shot with Lokko rapping amongst murals of the late great rap legends Prodigy and The Notorious B.I.G. and Lokko paying homage to the past and embodying the future of rap, while sending a message to the scene.
