When it comes to our idols, something as simple as their acknowledgement is enough to make our day, maybe even the rest of our lives. Delaney Clements got her wish when Taylor Swift visited her home earlier this month, and Safyre Terry got hers when Katy Perry sent a Christmas card and an assortment of gifts her way.
Terry asked for cards to fill her card tree, but wanted Perry’s to sit at the top. The sought-for card read: “Safyre, I heard about your Christmas wish and am so honoured that you saved the top of the tree for me! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I’ll be thinking of you on Christmas day. Special girl”. Additional gifts included an iPhone 6 case and a copy of Part Of Me, Perry’s movie about the California Dreams tour.
Perry’s card was one of thousands that made their way to Terry, amongst ones from President Obama and Beyoncé.
