Kaytranada has shared a new video for his 99.9% cut “You’re The One”, featuring Syd (previously known as the Internet’s Syd Tha Kid). It features the Polaris Prize-winning artist giving gifts to a variety of women in a comical, referential style.
In a press release, Kaytranada has stated the following about the video: “Stylistically it was influenced by the look of black sitcoms from the early 90s — from Martin to Living Single and UPN sitcoms. The African prince idea derived from the plot of Coming To America“.
