Rolling Stones guitarist recently caused controversy in an interview with Esquire as he expressed his distaste towards the classic Beatles album Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band. During the interview Richards said, “some people think it’s a genius album, but I think it’s a mishmash of rubbish”. Richards went on to say, “The Beatles sounded great when they were The Beatles. But there’s not a lot of roots in that music”.
