NIGO continues to bridge the fashion worlds of Paris and Tokyo, blending expansive cultural references that maintain a sophisticated outlook. The Jardin Du Palais Royal, with its majestic fountain, set the perfect stage for the event as he took us to the heart of Paris to unveil his Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
Welcoming hundreds of guests, including Pharrell Williams and Maluma, to the Jardin Du Palais Royal, he transformed the enchanting venue with a 52-look collection that brought KENZO’s distinctive esthetics to a safari theme.
On the womenswear side, the collection celebrated the female form with delicate crochet pieces in various shades of green, seen on maxi dresses and crop tops with blooming floral designs. Flower petals adorned cutout dresses and collared outerwear, matched with platform sandals and webbed bucket bags hanging from leather straps. Silk suits shimmered under the Parisian sun, complemented by fringed bandeau tops and ribboned embellishments.
The show began with double-breasted suits adorned with subtle weed patterns and netted tanks, all ready for a sunny escape in KENZO-branded flip-flops. Three-piece ensembles in muted green tones were paired with wide-brimmed hats and versatile sling bags.
Tonal denim outfits featured embroidered neckties and full-zip hoodies, while Verdy’s cartoon tigers appeared on cropped outerwear and plush shoulder accessories. This show concluded with KENZO’s signature varsity jackets and patched bombers with metal clasps, along with pocketed safari vests ready for exploration.
The collection was evenly divided between menswear and womenswear, starting with the former and featuring digitalized plant graphics, outdoor embroidery, and adventurous accessories. KENZO’s SS25 collection is sure to be remembered.
