On the back of the unlikely pairing of the hilarious Kevin Hart and hard man Ice Cube, Ride Along was a massive hit in 2014 making $131 million globally. After going through the trial run in the first installment Hart’s character is back in the run up to his wedding to Ice Cube’s sister played by Tika Sumpter. However, with the soon to be brothers-in-law travelling to Miami to take down a drug dealer, they risk making it back in time for the wedding, or making it back alive!
The sequel has some new additions to the cast in the form of Olivia Munn and Ken Jeong who form a super team to aid the pair during their hunt in Miami. It’s sure to bring the same laughs as well as some big action scenes, which was a winning combination in the first film. Ride Along 2 is to be released January 22, 2016.
