“Wonderlust” is the third single from Kid Wave, set to be released on the 30th of March through Heavenly Recordings. It brings me back to my final year in sixth form. It was a time when I’d already spent an entire year free of the word ‘grunger’ being hurled at me from a distance of say, anything from 10 to 25 feet depending on the day in question. So good vibes then. The track itself reminds me a bit of 90s bands such as Hole and Manic Street Preachers.
At two minutes 54 seconds, it’s sort of over before it’s begun. It’s like a quick statement about, well, something. I’m not entirely sure what yet. Production was handled by Dan Austin (Doves, Cherry Ghost). Their debut LP is set for release this summer. You can check out the single here and the band’s forthcoming tour dates are below.
