American rapper Kodak Black has dropped another single from his forthcoming album Dying to Live. The new track is titled “Testimony” and follows his last two releases “Calling My Spirit”, and “Zeze” which also belong to the new project.
The upcoming album is set to release on December 14, but until then Black keeps his fans entertained with his new banger. “Testimony” has got a similar vibe to his previous “Calling My Spirit” and deals with rather deep topics.
Black raps about overcoming obstacles, his family and faith in God: “They locked me in a box, I pray to God this ain’t my destiny, I don’t drink no lean, I’m sippin’ on holy water like this my medicine”, he raps. “Everything I went through made me who I am ’cause he be testin’ me, so I’m breakin’ bread with all my fam ’cause I don’t take no ecstasy”.
The track is more introspective. It leaves us in deep thoughts and mesmerised by the song’s smooth instrumentation. This adds more to the mystery of how the complete album is going to be.
Dying to Live will include the tracks “Zeze” featuring Travis Scott and Offset, “If I’m Lyin, I’m Flyin” and the Ben Billions-produced “Take One”.
