British Soul singer Kwabs has just premiered a new track called “Layback” via The Line Of Best Fit ahead of the release of his debut LP Love + War. The track produced by Dave Okumu is a version of an older song which has been refurbished as a dreamy R&B jam that Kwabs infuses with his soulful voice.
Okumu marks out a solid rhythm with crisp percussion and mechanical trap-style hats whilst allowing gentle keys and Kwabs’ powerful vocals to mingle and collide in front of the beat.
