Coming off the release of his excellent debut album, Nat Love, artist Kweku Collins delivers the video for “Stupid Rose”. It was directed by Cody LaPlant, features a WebsterX cameo, and shows Kweku running, skating, and flying through the city.
“Stupid Rose” is deep, bassy and with a touch of jazz. The vocals are very sleepy, like being woken in the middle of the night via a phonecall, mustering all your energy to answer the call and speak coherently but you sound like a zombie. The closing minute or so is a bit move lively, but the echo effect is a tad sleepy, too.
The visuals shows Kweku running, skating, and flying through the city with his friends, very much carefree and uninhibited.
