Following critical acclaim for her new track, “Here For”, Kyiki has delivered the official video for the offering. It is a good indication of what we can anticipate from the promising artist, who spent time collaborating with Sad Boys’ Yung Gud and Alex Da Kid.
“Here For” begins with futuristic sounds, and when the vocals kick in the track gets more so; dystopian, in fact. It is very bleak, but beautiful at the same time, too. Very haunting. The vocals become more isolated towards the end, closing with those futuristic sounds.
The video, directed by Simone Pellegrini, is just Kyiki and the camera. It is all very dark, with shots of roses and skulls. Very bleak. The very unsettling thing is that, despite the melancholy aspect of the track, she is almost trying to suppress a smile. Seductive.
