Lana Del Rey, the mysterious songstress, has released an eerie, vintage-style trailer filled with symbolism and indirect political messages as she says, “Amidst all the uncertainty, and as we transition out of one era into another one” with the quick shot from The Statue Of Liberty hinting that little bit more about the topic of social awareness.
The video ties in nicely with the album title, suggesting that no matter the problems that society has always faced, their is always a positive outcome. She says “Because you, and the music, and this place, are my love, my life, my lust for life“.
This suggests she’s ultimately releasing her fifth studio album for her fans but also emphasises her passion for the record, and this beautifully innovative introductory trailer proves she has real artistry as a musician and performer.
We are sure that the symbols and special effects all tie in to the album somehow but I guess we will have to wait and find out when the release date is unveiled. All we get for now is “Coming Soon” but with a creative and playful trailer kicking off the release schedule it will be one to look forward to!
