Lil Yachty has dropped a tribute freestyle for his incarcerated friend, K$upreme. “Free K$upreme”, produced by Sage, is quite trippy, particularly the backdrop. This consists of rattling drum machine and almost creepy circus music.
The flow is relentless and never lets up, and is all the more remarkable that it is a freestyle. In that sense, you know for a fact that it was not recorded in segments, and is in fact recorded all in one take. There are seemingly no audible gasps for breath that your journeyman rapper would make to get a similar delivery down in one take.
