Just when you thought 20 year old North London lyricist Little Simz may give her self a little break, she comes storming through with a brand new piece of musical brilliance in the form of “Have I”, a track that is taken off her brand new mini-EP Age 101: Drop 1 which is dropping later today (August 5). Premiered as the #RecordOfTheWeek by Clara Amfo on BBC 1Xtra, the song arrives, following Simz making Complex Magazine’s ‘Top 25 Rappers You Need To Watch Out For’ list as the only non American/Canadian. The new track sees the ‘Princess of Rap’ transforming Soulection’s Canadian producer Da-P’s “Tortoise” instrumental into an inspirational, fresh drop of her own.
The new EP is of course following the release of her critically acclaimed debut EP E.D.G.E which premiered on Billboard in June, which is a true demonstration to the amount of hard work and dedication that this young emerging star really has towards her art. With every day passing, Simz is establishing herself more fans, more support and more musical magic under her belt.
