31-year-old plus-size hip-hop and rapper star, Lizzo is the latest digital cover story for Essence Magazine, where she talks about what means for her being happy with her body. She is not ashamed to admit she usually post nudes picture on instagram. Last week, she shared a topless mirror selfie, and she previously posed for Playboy and Rolling Stones.

For this digital cover with Essence, Lizo is even posing pantless. “I’m doing this for myself”, she told the magazine. “I love creating shapes with my body, and I love normalizing the dimples in my butt or the lumps in my thighs or my back fat or my stretch marks. I love normalizing my black-ass elbows. I think it’s beautiful”.
The singer broke broke into the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 with her album Cuz I Love You, which just drops last month. She also landed a breakout hit with the rip-roaring “Juice” and made her debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Truth Hurts”, and today May 15, she decided to celebrate the launch of her new hit Charli XCX collaboration “Blame It On Your Love” by unveiling her Essence Cover.
“These songs are for my big Black girls. Everyone can enjoy them, but I want to help us”, she said to Essence about her records. “This music is medicine and I’m trying to get it to my sisters. It’s so exciting to me to finally be at a level where I have exposure to my Black sisters, my big sisters, my Black trans sisters”.
