Sometimes music has the impressive power of reach out straight to your heart, and that’s what happens when you listen to “I Lied”, the latest emotional single from the Franco-American soul artist Théa.
Théa has played several instruments – guitar, piano and drums – since an early age, when she entered a music program to remedy her shy nature. With her mom in love with gospel and her dad’s interest for jazz, Théa developed a passion for soul, that her tracks amazingly express.
She brought her career on the next level when she moved to London in 2017 to study songwriting. In the vibrant city that still plays a central role in the music history, Théa formed her retro soul band Théa Full Band, that has been rocking iconic venues of London, from Camden to Soho.
“I Lied” is a soul and dark ballad focused on the outcomes related to being young and making bad choices. Théa’s soulful vocals blend with the complex chord structure and the impressive organic use of guitar, bass and drums. The melancholy of the rhythm reflects the heartfelt lyrics, expressing the artist’s apology for damaging a friendship.
Make sure you check out this uniquely touching track and, if you happen to be in London in the next days, add to your calendar the date of March 5, when Théa Full Band will be on stage at The LightHouse Bar & Club. You definitely should not miss their next thrilling live performance!
