Longchamp is partnering with André Saraiva who is launching her first ever handbag collection. The collaborative range is a joyful celebration of French culture and is adorned with Saraiva’s signature doodles on widely loved Longchamp heritage designs.
For this collection, the French artist chose Longchamp’s archetypal Le Pliage bag, an expression of the brand’s classic and timeless style. It comes in four different sizes and styles.
As such, there are large travel companions, miniatures and everyday handbags that are made from recycled nylon and are coated in shades of graphic black, “Longchamp green” as well as Saraiva’s favorite palette of “candy pink” and “sky blue.”
Throughout the collection, Saraiva’s famous characters, Mr. A and Mrs. A, can be seen with “LOVE” smiles on the larger bags and grimaces on the smaller accessories. Longchamp is also introducing a premium calf leather version of the Le Pliage Travel bag with a zipper pull, adorned with Saraiva’s version of the house’s famous race horse medallion.
Finally, Saraiva hand-customized a series of 200 limited edition bags in recycled polyester with blue and pink paint splatters and a signature inked in white on the closing flap. Longchamp also offers three colorful cotton scarves and a silk tie, as well as the artwork dedicated to the collection.
