It goes without saying that many commercial artists in today’s society do not just have their schedule fixed to studio time and creating records. With the growing use of social media and the combination of music and brands, it is more important than ever to expand into opportunities outside of the traditional music industry.
Pop starlet, Louisa Johnson, has shown just this in 2017. Last New Music Friday Louisa released her catchy tropical pop tune, “Bad Behaviour”, which has received radio play across the UK and she makes appearances at Capital FM and Radio 1. The track certainly has a summer feel and has seen positive feedback across the twittersphere:
@louisa #bestbehaviour is exactly what we need in 2017. It is everything!!!! Keep it fierce! 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻

Louisa is also the face of L’Oreal Paris ‘Colorista’ campaign, where she unveiled ice-blue hair and performed “Bad Behaviour” at the launch at Village Underground in February. Louisa today announced, across social media, the signing of a contract with top modelling agency, IMG Models. As a female who has always been praised for her fashion choices and style this comes as no surprise.
However the young star has previously spoken about issues with body confidence and low self-esteem, which shows this step can lead to Louisa becoming even more of a great influencer for women and young girls.
We can definitely see Louisa maturing into a true pop artist since her X Factor days and I’m sure she has a lot more to bring to the table.
