You’ve seen Madonna on stage, belting out “Like A Virgin” in her sugary sweet voice, and now you’ll see her first album unfold in her very own biopic Blonde Ambition!
Universal has picked up the rights to Elyse Hollander’s screenplay, which topped the 2016 edition of the Black List (annual ranking of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood), and is currently developing the biopic film.
Blonde Ambition follows Madonna’s work in the early 80s – her efforts to get her first album released, the dismissive attitude of the music industry at the time, and the task of juggling perseverance, fame and her personal life all at once.
John Zaozirny, Erik Baiers, Chloe Yellin, Lucy Kitada and John Cheng will be producing.
