Rising Malaysian independent artist J308 has released his breakthrough single, “限定版” or “Limited Edition,” through Lanxy Records.
Known for creating innovative soundscapes, J308 never stops to amaze music enthusiasts by bending genres, which merges funk, pluggnb, and pop-rap to position him more powerfully among the rising stars in Malaysia.
“限定版” unfolds a story against a bright background of neon-lit streets-the story of one coincidence that finally brought together a boy and a girl. This relatable story fits with the bold sound explorations of this track, promising listeners an unforgettable audio experience.
The song starts off with lush synth melodies and vocal samples with dreamy pluggnb vibes merged with comforting R&B chords. Smooth basslines guide one into soothing vocals, which are promptly followed by an energetic pre-chorus, raising anticipation for what’s to come.

Born in 1999 in Terengganu and based in Kuala Lumpur, J308 has risen pretty quickly as one of the mainstays within Malaysia’s indie music scene. Being the founder of Lanxy Records, he has been on a quest to give Malaysia’s musical landscape a complete makeover with newer and more innovative sounds.
It all started in 2019, and by 2021, he reached a breakthrough when he dropped the Pandemic of Love EP with HOW1E, which received over 210,000 Spotify plays and reached the finals of the City Roars Festival competition.
Having done “限定版” and with another album due in 2025, J308 continues to bridge genres and break boundaries, redefining the possibilities of Malaysian music on a global stage.
