Mariah Carey has announced the cancellation of her concert in Belgium following the terrorist attack in Brussels earlier this week. The singer was due to play at the Forest National Arena on March 27, as part of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour.
Carey tweeted, “I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone involved with the tour. I hope to see you soon and send my prayers and eternal love, laughter and light to my Lambs”.

All other concerts at the venue will take place as planned despite the attack. A statement on its website, though, prompted guests to remain vigilant: “Guests are asked to come early and not bring any luggage, backpacks or large handbags, to respond to any requests of security services and to stay alert”.
