Grammy nominated British producer & songwriter Maths Time Joy today releases his brand new single “Count On Me” featuring the beautiful soulful sounds of Nigerian born and New York based Toulouse and Atlanta native Zaia, two up-coming vocalists who will have a lot of acclaim after this. This is the second single to be released from Maths Time Joy’s Sunset Motel EP which will be released sometime this Spring.
This awesome new track, best described as ‘Electro-R&B’ draws you in from the onset with the smoothness of Toulouse’s vocals and MTJ’s production like a sweet lullaby before erupting with kicks, synths and all that funk. Zaia’s transcendent rap-like verse contrasts but they both compliment like ‘peaches & cream’.
It is encouragingly uplifting, Toulouse’s chant resonating through the song that you can “Count on him …as the day is long and the grass is green”

Speaking about the track MTJ explains: “I’ve worked with Zaia a couple of times before and he always has strong melodies, we had this verse for a while. Toulouse is someone I’vve been a fan of since I first heard him, his harmonies are beautiful. It made sense to get them both on the same track, there’s a lot of soul in both their vocals and they complement each other.”
Having worked with a host of different notable names over 2017, Maths Time Joy is getting back to the grind for himself once again and we can’t wait to hear the full EP once it’s released. Listen to the new song above.
