Get to know Meyhem Lauren (if you don’t already). He has an old-school flow, taken right out of the golden age of hip-hop, and has thrown 16s onto a number of Action Bronson tracks. The two team up once again, but this time it’s for a track off an upcoming project for Meyhem, his Piatta D’Oro mixtape released later this year.
The two New York emcees take turns to shine a light on their place amongst today’s emcees – Meyhem assures his “rep is made of gold” while Bronson proclaims he’s “won the belt like 7 times” – and the production is handled by DJ Shadow and A-Villa, who’ve split the track into two separate reclining rich beats.
