Ava Faith is a 17-year-old Miami singer, songwriter, musician, performer, and producer. She has a distinct voice that she has honed over a decade of singing and performing, beginning at the age of five when she declared she wanted to be a professional singer. She never looked back after that.
Her new single “Tables Have Turned” is a depressing alternative rock song with classic analogue synth lines. The real meaning of the refrain is gradually revealed through the lyrics, vocals, and music.
This is the first of five tracks that will be included on My Darkest Affair, a rock opera-style EP that will be released next year. The EP’s five songs all follow the same theme, have a similar musical style, and demonstrate a variety of musicality intended to tell a tale.
Speaking about the project, Ava says, “Up to this point, the first three songs I released were demo quality, with vocals recorded at home, and music that was recorded live and then cut and paste in a DAW to achieve the desired arrangements.
In contrast, I wrote the songs on ‘My Darkest Affair’ with the style of music in mind. The vocals were recorded in a studio, and the majority of the music is exactly as it was played live by the band. Further, I made some changes to the production process to address the feedback received regarding the mixes on the prior songs.
I want to learn what it takes to create a sustainable career in the music industry. I have been singing since I was five, and I wouldn’t be where I am now without the help of literally hundreds of people who have helped me along the way“.
