Copenhagen-based alt-pop artist MILA has just dropped her new single “Arrow“, released on Valentine’s Day. It’s her latest move after “Softie”, which already got some love from Danish and Finnish national radios, and this one dives deep into that overwhelming, all-consuming crush that makes your brain shut down.
Made with producers Frederik and Fridolin Nordsø, “Arrow” is all about that moment when a text from the right person makes everything else irrelevant. It’s got a modern alt-pop sound with a little early 2000s throwback energy, with dreamy melodies, catchy beats, and a hook that just won’t stop.
“Arrow is literally that feeling when the world stops. That split-second decision to ditch whatever you’re doing and run just to see them again,” MILA says. “For me, Arrow feels like a love story in slow motion; every text, every thought, is like an arrow straight to the heart, in the best and worst way.”
But it’s not just a bop, Arrow fits into MILA’s whole vibe of pushing boundaries, breaking expectations, and owning your emotions, whether it’s love, anger, or anything in between. She’s all about making space for people, especially young women, to express themselves without anyone telling them they’re “too much.”
Winning LiveCamp at SMUKfest 2023 proved that MILA is a force to be reckoned with. Her ability to mix raw emotions with catchy production has earned her a dedicated fanbase, and “Arrow” is proof of her rising status in the alt-pop scene. The track brings together the best of what makes MILA stand out, bold lyricism, strong storytelling, and an undeniable knack for crafting melodies that stay with you.
With her debut EP coming in spring 2025, “Arrow” is just the beginning of what MILA has in store. She’s showing no signs of slowing down, and if this track is an indication, her next releases are going to be just as amazing.
