Miles Teller known for his roles in Footloose and The Awkward Moment has revealed the plot/storyline for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, in which he plays the role of Dr Reed also known as Mr Fantastic. Alongside Teller, the leading cast members include Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.
Teller reveals that this version of the film is a lot more grounded, focusing more on the human aspect of the story opposed to just their superpowers, which sounds like a sharp contrast to the original Fantastic Four story. Directed by Josh Trank, the Fantastic Four reboot ill be available in UK cinemas on June 18, 2015.
“I was joking around about a year ago, ‘I guess I’ll be playing a superhero soon,’ because that’s just the world that we’re in, but I think a lot of times it just looks like Hollywood actors in Halloween costumes, you know? And I think what we’re going to do with Fantastic Four is going to be very grounded and it made sense to me. When I read the script, I didn’t feel like I was reading this larger-than-life, incredible superhero tale. These are all very human people that end up having to become I guess what is known as the Fantastic Four. So for me it was just a really good story and gives me an opportunity to play something different from my own skin. It’s a proper character and that’s my favorite stuff to do.” – Miles Teller
