Italian actress Monica Bellucci is set to star in Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner‘s latest venture, Nekromancer. She joins Ben O’Toole (Hacksaw Ridge, Detroit) and Tess Haubrich (Alien: Covenant) in the cast.
The Wyrmwood directors’ upcoming film is said to be a “genre-mashing, sci-fi-horror“, that brings together “the mix of gore and comedy that turned their debut feature into a fest hit“. This time, Kiah Roache-Turner takes over as director, while Tristan Roache-Turner produces for Guerilla Films, alongside Andrew Mason and Troy Lum producing for Hopscotch Features.
Speaking of the latest casting update, Kiah Roache-Turner commented, “Monica Bellucci brings her wonderful talents and considerable glamour to our production and we are thrilled to have her on board working alongside this group of exciting up-and-coming actors”.
Her so-called “wonderful talents” have been showcased in roles including Mary Magdalene in The Passion of the Christ, Alex in the controversial Irréversible, and a Bond Girl in Spectre.
