Burgeoning Pop/soul artist Nahli has finally released her stunning new single “Relapse“. A mentee to the pioneer grime producer DaVinChe, it is the follow-up to the 2018 debut single “Say Nothin’” and also proof that she definitely has a lot to offer.
“Relapse” is a beautifully moody and honest symphony of lyrics, vocal and rhythm. A perfect slice of modern R&B and soul it’s polished and perfectly mid-tempo with just the right amount of bounce. Her softer tones and harmonies absolutely glide across what is a very well put together song. Nahli’s vocal performance is sultry yet sophisticated as she sings her blues.
“I really struggle to let go of people I’ve cared for,” says Nahli on the new track. “My heart cares about that person for a long time after a breakup. While I’m healing, it’s so easy for me to relapse back into a relationship I shouldn’t be in. My heart overrules my brain, hugely.”
Nahli has been making waves for some time – you probably will have already heard Nahli’s voice, thanks to features on massive UK Garage tunes like Rude Kid‘s “Please Don’t” and Conducta‘s “Only U“. “Relapse” is the first of many releases planned for Nahli for 2019, as well as some live shows. It’s already proving to be an exciting year for the British singer.
