British singer-songwriter, NAO, ploughs on with the promotion of debut album, For All We Know. This was released Friday past (July 29) via Little Tokyo Recordings and RCA Records.
The third official single from that album, “Girlfriend”, booms yet is spaced out, vocals soaring and sensual. The chorus definitely lifts it up, lending power quite unexpected. Licks of guitar give it bluesy soul, a subsequent solo giving it a rockier vibe before ending sombre.
In terms of the visuals, they are directed by Sing Lee, and produced by Stint and Chanse Fyffe. The best way to describe them are to liken the whole setting to a concrete jungle. Outside are imposing buildings, with trees overhanging, plus some intimacy indoors, too.
