London vital neo-soul artist Naomi Banks releases her stunning single “Anything“.
The 24 year old emerging singer paints a vibrant picture of being alive and finding your way in a confusing world. There is a sense of adventure as the quirky Londoner’s electric take on timeless music is realised in layers of rich and dynamic lyricism soulfully delivered over Dieter Gickel‘s heady electronic production.
Speaking on the release and her creative process, Naomi shared: “It’s about not understanding life but happily accepting that…I do most of my writing in the front room of my barge. I have excellent mood lighting and I love looking at water when I write.”
Opting to break free from the genres, Naomi Banks has managed to find her lane; a buttery fusion of Soul, Pop and Electronica. She’s come some way from her debut single “Hourglass” which only came out in August and garnered a mass of digital acclaim as well as multiple plays on BBC Introducing London and Amazing Radio with support from Tom Robinson.
