Yesterday, Netflix released the official trailer for a new film entitled The Meyerowitz Stories. The director of the film Noah Baumbach, who is known for his previous movies such as Frances Ha, While We’re Young and Mistress America.
The casting features popular names such as Adam Sandler, Emma Thompson, Ben Stiller and Dustin Hoffman, who are the mains actors in this story.
It is a comedy-drama and the plot is about an estranged family who gathers together in New York for an event celebrating the artistic work of their father, who was a successful sculptor. The family is composed of Maureen, the fourth wife with drinking issues, and the three children Danny, Matthew and Jean, who were born from different marriages. We get to see how old grievances will be dug out.
This movie will be released on Netflix and select US theaters on October 13. Watch the official trailer below:
